Is there a simple automatic backup system for Visual Studio projects?

Question

I use Visual Studio 2008 Express, and I would like Visual Studio (or, possibly, an add-in) to save my entire project in some kind of auto-increment archive or something that would help me recover from disasters. I don’t have much need for SVN or complex version control systems. I'm just looking for something simple and meager.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS: I looked at the built-in auto play function, but it doesn't seem to save more than a few files.

You can get along well with very few simple git commands. It can be as easy as git status and git diff to see what you have changed, and git to do it every time you want to “back up” your work so that your legs are wet. Use the .gitignore file in the debug and release directories, as well as other generated generated files, so that they do not fall back to their original state.
