Deploy iPhone app remotely?

4 java developers are new to developing iPod Touch / iPhone applications. They have an idea for the application. They have never used Xcode or Macs before.

Instead of spending money on a new iMac or Mac Mini for each of them, my boss would like to sell them an $ 999 Apple server hosted on an object connected to the same T1 line, and all 4 people work remotely in Xcode.

  • Is it possible? Does anyone do something like this? In particular, is 1 T1 enough for realistic remote application development?

  • Should they work in black and white through Logmein or Gotomeeting in order to get decent speed?

  • Can four people work remotely together in an Xcode project at the same time?

  • Do they really need their own Macs to physically connect to iPod Touch or iPhone, or can they connect to existing computers using iTunes and install them in development applications this way?

I don’t think there are such things as “realistic remote application development”.

Is their migraine health plan planned?
