Is ColdFusion 9 session replication still not recommended?

It seems that session replication on ColdFusion servers less than 9 was not considered more than high-level applications. Instead, the main way would be to use round and sticky sessions.

This is still the case for CF9 or improved session replication.

I use session replication in high-scale applications without any problems. We have 2-4 instances of ColdFusion on one server, and then on several physical servers. In addition, we used sticky sessions to store sessions in a single instance using cyclic scaling on load balancers.
