Incompatibilities of browsers of large sites

Is there a site cataloging various browser incompatibilities with major (Alexa top 100) sites? One client complained that one part of the site was not properly displayed in IE6, although this was not on our list of supported browsers. They stated that they doubt large sites, such as Amazon, that expose code that does not display properly in all browsers. I doubt that this is true, but even if they really work on every visit in the browser, they can spend more man-hours testing IE6 for one day, then most small companies will need to develop a whole site.

I know sites like youtube are stopping IE6 support, and there are many challenges to stop using IE6.

I know that it is not possible to check every single quirk in every browser in every operating system. I would like to get a catalog of information about major sites that are incompatible in order to demonstrate these problems. How do you feel about clients who insist that everything should work in legacy browsers?
