Manage Multiple Visual Studio Layouts

I am currently using Visual Studio 2008. Like other applications, it saves its layout in the settings folder. It's great. But, my problem is that I often run 3 ~ 4 Visual Studios and change every instance layout.

However, Visual Studio can only remember one set of layouts of the last completed instance. I do not blame this restriction, as this is normal behavior.

I would be glad if several layouts could be saved, or it would be ideal if Visual Studio saves space for each solution / project. Is there anyone who wants this feature? Is it possible to make such an extension?

Note. I began to write an answer, but further testing showed that it did not work as I hoped. It doesn't matter here. Perhaps this can help you move on.

VS has the concept of storing various layouts based on what the developer does. When debugging windows can be arranged differently than during "normal" editing. Start debugging and move / show / hide the windows to be in the same position as the last debugging session. Stop debugging and the windows will return to the state before debugging.

I think you already knew this, but what makes it different is that you can add new layouts yourself.

There are many aspects of Eclipse that are better, or at least more customizable, or at least I like how work is better than Visual Studio.
