SSRS 2008 / Visual Studio 2010 ReportViewer always shows the first page of a report

I am having a problem with Visual Studio 2010 RC Webforms ReportViewer. It shows the report in the order when I load the page, but when I click on "Next Page" or when I enter the page number, it just loads and displays the first page again and again.

I checked Firebug that the request initiated by the paging button is indeed successful and that this is indeed the first report page that the report server returns.

When viewing a report in ReportManager, swapping works as expected, so this seems to be a problem with the viewer.

Has anyone else seen this problem? Any suggestions on how to fix or get around this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank,

Adrian

Most likely, something on your page will cause the report viewer to be reconstructed with every callback or restart the report. Therefore, no matter what causes the postback, you get page 1.

If the answer is not clear based on this answer, put the code that you use to run the report and specify its report parameters.

I suspect Jerry is right. If AsyncRendering = true, ReportViewer causes many partial postbacks. If you do not check this (! IsPostBack), then every time he does this, he can run the code to reset the viewer.
