How to copy a sequential set of empty characters in vim

${BASE}/test/ other_consecutive_none_empty_characters

If the cursor is under the $ sign, how can I copy "$ {BASE} / test /" in general and paste it somewhere else in vim? I don't want to use the solution for counting letters human-eye-letters if this is the only solution I would like to use for charcter charcter keyboards.

y Ewill be the most correct decision. ymeans "yank" (ie copy to clipboard) and E- "to the end of the WORD", that is, until the next space character.

y i W - y ank i nner W ORD. , , .

y t , i.e. y. t, followed by a space. tcan be considered a "do". You can select with vt, delete with xt, etc.
