What is the standard way to transition between views?

Question

I was wondering if there is a standard way (or better way) to transition between two views in WPF?

For example, if you are viewing one particular view and you click a button (for example, the Next button) and you want to move to the next view, what is the best way to do this?

I have seen several examples on the Internet, but they are all different in how they deal with this.

Also, these are animated transitions that I would like to make (e.g. slide, fade, etc.).
