Using Drupal Views VS templating

I recently started working with Drupal, and I had to solve the limitations that I encountered in the Views API. Moreover, I find it faster and more powerful to encode myself.

  • It is difficult to create custom views that have a special look without creating custom files.
  • Creating pages from scratch in * .tpl.php gives me more choice and flexibility. I made a couple of them now, and it's almost as fast.

For the developer (since this is a programming forum), which is better, in your opinion:
