Does anyone have statistics or thoughts on WPF performance on a 64-bit OS?

I see many new machines and laptops that now have 64-bit hardware, and provided that all the drivers are correct, will WPF and the corresponding .NET work faster on 64-bit machines? I don't see any documentation about .NET or 64-bit WPF anywhere, but I would like to know the difference. I see that .NET does not have a specific API for the architecture of 64-bit architecture, it is a neutral platform, but what about WPF?

If the structure is compiled to take advantage of additional instructions, there may be a slight increase in performance, but 64 bits is more address space than extra speed.

And WPF / Avalon is a subset of .NET v3, so yes, it is also neutral.

Edit: Here is a good stream on 64-bit JIT performance. (but note that the answers are one and a half years - it is hoped that MS will improve the situation for 64-bit users)

A WPF application runs as 64-bit processes on a 64-bit OS (unless it is compiled specifically for the target x86 only), like any other .net application.
