Problems Using IconAlignment with WinForms ErrorProvider

Question

I have ComboBoxone that has one associated ErrorProviderin the user control to which it belongs. When an error occurs, I want to display the icon to the left of the combo.

However, no matter what value I set IconAlignmentfor my combo, the icon is displayed on the right. Do you guys know what could be wrong here?

If you call the Clear()ErrorProvider method , it resets the IconAlignment value of the associated controls.

ErrorProvider SetError(control, String.Empty) , ComboBox.
