What development tool should be used for code in F #?

I started working with F # on the same day (before VS2010 beta); at that time, if I remember correctly, there was no express version of F #, but it was possible to use VS Shell (I think it was a name), and then install F # on top of it.

What is the current state of affairs? I read there that there is no Express Express F # 2010 version; Is there a shell in 2010 that you can download and install F # on top? If not, what is the best way (if any) for code in F # 2010 for free?

I know that asking for free material is a LOT to ask for. But this was possible in VS2008, and I wonder if this is possible in VS2010.

Thank!

PS - I believe (not sure though) that VS2010 beta can be downloaded for free; the problem is that when the final release comes out, you will have to pay for the license. For a guy who codes for fun, like me, it makes no sense to buy the full version if I can get the most basic features for free ...

Basically, right now you can use the free built-in shell VS2008 with F # CTP or use VS2010RC (which is free as a beta version).

(I donโ€™t know if there is still a published VS2010 shell, and I donโ€™t know if F # CTP works with it, at the moment your best long-term strategy is to use 2008).

If you mean visual F #, the best tool is Visual Studio 2010 RC:
