Software licensing / registration component / infrastructure?

We use the home registration system for our software, but I would like to update it, fixing a number of things, including adding the possibility of its remote activation / deactivation (to facilitate Saas).

Feel free to offer any good (in your opinion) VB6-compatible options. I can check if it meets our other criteria.

Required Features:

  • Activate several programs (Ok, if it generates a separate code for each)
  • Works with VB6 and VB.net. A VB6-compatible DLL should be good.
  • Still supported (nice to have but not really necessary
  • Compatible with Windows 2000 - 7.

Nice features (but not required) * Work without Internet access * Works through a firewall (this can be difficult)

A little old school, but you can wrap it in a .NET container with Interop.
