Is SharedCache ready for production?

I have been comparing distributed caching solutions for ASP.NET and would like to use something FOSS, if possible. I met SharedCache and saw how it was recommended by several people in StackOverflow.

Has anyone really used this in a production environment? I can not find much online about the maturity of this project and would like to know about any successes or failures with its use.

To be clear, the environment would be a handful of servers (~ 10 or so), but at least 10 GB of cached data to be shared between these servers.

So, this is a bit late answer, and you probably solved it a long time ago, but I was wondering the same thing ...

We used the memcached windows port for a recent project where we need the process cache shared between the site and a bunch of WCF services in separate application pools. Everything worked well for us for a while, but recently, our memcached.net client reports crashes when we write to the cache. We are not sure what this causes, but it’s embarrassing for me to work with memcached on windows and learn “clean” .net solutions. When I found SharedCache.net
