Is Flash programming good for prototyping a GUI?

I used to think that Flash is a program for designers or just for web purposes, but now I'm working on rapid prototyping for a graphical interface, and I'm trying to learn some kind of flash version to evaluate it as a solution for such projects. I found some graphic features very useful, such as combining graphics and video together, changing pixels, good interaction with user input ...

What do you think? this is a good decision? or limited because of its web design or designer?

It depends on the level of detail your prototypes should represent. I mean, if you are prototyping a very high-precision graphical interface, which, for example, should be built ultimately in C ++, Flash (without the Flex SDK) can be a good solution (a lot of freedom to configure and faster / easier than C ++ for writing). If your prototypes can be quite rude, a solution like Flex or, better yet, Flash Catalyst might be better.
