Server Virtualization on Mac OS

I need to virtualize Ubuntu 24/7 on my Mac. Is there a simple version of software virtualization that allows me to run it discretely? I don’t need an interface ... I will manage via SSH ... I use VirtualBox, but it always insists on opening a window ... Can I start an OS guest as a service? VMWare server looks suitable, but it is not available for Mac ...: - (

VirtualBox is still your friend. You can start the VM without heads.

Try running in Terminal.app:

VBoxHeadless --help

It seems that you can also do:

VBoxManage startvm <vmname> --type headless
