IPod nano development options?

My wife recently bought nano, and I wanted to write a simple program for her. It seems that Apple has released only the SDK for iPhone / iPod Touch without the ability to target nano.

What are the options for creating a nano-oriented application and installing it on it?

The best thing would be to get her iPodTouch or iPhone and work on developing on those . They will have support and familiar tools. I don’t think there are supported development options for Nano (or everyone will). Also consider the iPad to be an easy transition if you are familiar with iPhone design.

There are no official ones, but you can get Linux on iPod Nano. Then you can do almost anything you want.

I am currently using my iPod Nano as a watch and have been looking for different apps to try, but no luck. There seems to be no apps for nano ......
