How to access the software displayed on the Android lock screen

Today I’m looking for a way to reproduce the behavior that I know from my HTC Hero lock screen: a calendar and an alarm clock can place text and drawings there to inform about an upcoming event or signal with an expired date. The lock screen remains there because you need to drag it to cancel the displayed event, as well as the “Snooze” button.

But, the first question is: is this the usual Android material by default or only for HTC Sense? Second question: if this is a common thing for Android, why can't I find anything in the Google Android documentation on "lockscreen" or "lock screen" topics that come close to my question? Where is the API for it?

My problem: I want to immediately inform the user about this - even if I try the standard notification, the user with a locked screen will have to unlock it and drag the list of notifications to see and clear everything that happens. sigh Having put an endlessly reproducing notification sound, a problem arises because at least two swipes are required to stop the sound playing!

Any hints of this? Thank!

Is this default Android stuff or is HTC Feeling specific only?

Only HTC Sense. You cannot change the device’s lock screen from the SDK code - only with firmware changes. Excuse me!
