Samsung phones and Notification.FLAG_INSISTENT error?

Question

I developed a timer application, but some people noticed that the notification never stops on their Samsung Galaxy or Spica.

I have these flags attached to my notification:

notification.flags = Notification.FLAG_AUTO_CANCEL | Notification.FLAG_INSISTENT;

I'm not sure if this is a problem, but I can't think of anything else to call this (and I don't have a samsung phone to check it) ...

Do you have any idea why this is especially important on Samsung phones? How can I make the notification sound in a loop, do not use this Notification.FLAG_INSISTENT;?

I don't have a Samsung phone in the laboratory at Secret Secret Lair, so I don't know if this is a mistake or not.
