Unable to enable backend in IIS5

Question

I am trying to include the server side in some simple html files. I need help enabling ssi through IIS on the local host. I am running XP Pro and using both ie8 and firefox to check files. Thank you for your help.

Here's how to do it:

• Open the IIS administrator on the local computer.
• Expand the local computer tree in the left pane (where it says that the computer is COMPUTERNAME (local computer)
• In Web Service Extensionsnode, click Server Side Includeson the right side of the window.
• Right click and select Allow.

There you go.
