I have a TDBEdit that is not enabled and thus the tooltip is not displayed. What would be the best way to display a hint while remaining disabled?
The only thing I can think of is an overlay on TDBEdit with a fully transparent control that has ShowHint set to True and a set of Hint properties.
Disable disabled TWinControl (TDBEdit is TWinControl) on container> TWinControl (e.g. TPanel) and set the TPanel prompt to the desired value.
