Text editor wrapping actual text - not displayed

Question

I see text and text files that were wrapped up to 80 characters, but I can not find a text editor or function that "supports" a wrapper of up to 80 characters - not only the appearance of the text, but the actual text itself.

How to do it in Notepad ++? What about vim?

Zeus editor makes such a hard line break. In the Options, Properties menu, a line break marker is set.

Zeus is shareware, but there is a free version of Zeus Lite , which also has this feature.
