Getting more from * .diff files

I wonder if there are tools to display the * .diff files used to fix debian packaging related issues. What I need from the tool is that it can just read the diff file and show the actual files modified with the modified lines, like kdiff or meld, when comparing directly two different files. Or maybe I have a completely wrong approach to this, maybe I should ask how can I get more from diff files?

Kompare can open .diff, and it shows you the files modified at the top, the change lists of the selected file and the side-by-side diff (for the lines it can extract from.

However, when I feed his debdiff, he gets confused. Diff did not have === file headers, only --- and +++ headers, and therefore it included changes to / debian / changelog, / debian / copyright and / debian / rules with / debian / control file. YMMV.
