WPF: Why is it VisualTreeHelper.GetDrawing (Visual v) and not Visual.GetDrawing ()?

Just curious - prima facie seems more uncomfortable and less accessible, but is there a good reason?

I believe this is intentionally confusing because you should not hide with the visual tree most of the time, guided by the philosophy "Principles of wireframe design": "Commonly used classes should follow the main scenarios."
