Reading a file saved by another application on iphone

Is there a way for an application to write a file to a file and then read another application from this file?

I mean writing to the iPhone file system.

I want to do this without using an internet connection. So downloading a file and then downloading from another application is not what I mean.

Thank!

The current sandboxing of applications does not allow this, however, it seems that it may be available in future versions of iPhone for iPhone. Link

There seem to be ways, but you won’t be able to get Apple approval if you do.

I'm not sure exactly what circumstances you are here, but you can register application B as a handler for a specific protocol and have the application. Try to open such a link (for example, appB: // yourinfohere). It depends on how much data you want to transfer and more, but it may work.
