RSS.NET cannot parse feedburner feeds

I am using RSS.NET for .NET 2.0. Try as I can, I get 0 channels for the following:

feed = RssFeed.Read("http://feeds.feedburner.com/punchfire?format=xml");

I note that for other channels this works, for example,

feed = RssFeed.Read("http://www.engadget.com/rss.xml");

I assume that it should be a valid xml document . Do you think I should check ".xml" in my application code or is there a way to configure RSS.NET to receive feedburner feeds?

The reason you cannot get any channel nodes is because there are no channels in the atom format. check the following

http://feeds.feedburner.com/punchfire?format=xml seems like atom , not RSS . Does rss.net know how to handle this?
