WCF service returns Dataser very slowly with basicHttpBinding

I am working on a WCf library hosted in IIS. It works fine, but it is very slow returning a dataset. I heard about BinaryFormatter Serialize, but it does not work on my end. so please, please, give me a brief information on how to return a dataset more professionally using WCF services. Thanks in advance.
