Summary
We launch and provide software development services. We develop windows, the Internet, services and mobile applications. We were aware of the agile , and we are developers certified in accordance with the requirements. We evaluate user story assessment and task scheduling. No problems.
Question
We are contacted by many small customers. Clients talk about a very high level or a few words about the concept of their dream project. They request a Performance Assessment and a Cost Estimate . Mostly they are interested in Cost .
For each client, we created user stories and estimated user stories and based on plot points , we rated the effort in days , and we convert days to value based on an hourly rate. We attract a team of 3 or 4 people and make an assessment. We spend at least 20-30 hours total time to evaluate the team. (A team of 4 people discusses 5-6 hours)
The problem is that many customers will never return. We do not want to spend 20-30 hours on collective efforts. We do not want to use an accurate assessment of user history, which we adhere to for a signed project contract.
Question
What can be done to give a rough estimate for small customers with small businesses?
