I developed a small application in C # (.net 3.5) that runs in the system tray. Basically, it checks the rss channel every 5 minutes, and if there is a new channel since the last time it was checked, it displays balloontip, and also uses the text-to-speech mechanism in .net 3.0 / 3.5 to read the header from the downloaded feed.
This works great, but I noticed that on Windows7 it takes about 9-10 mb during operation, but in XP it takes 39-40 mb. I have no idea why. Does anyone know anything about what this could be?
