Using OpenCV to Detect Fingertips Instead of Faces

I use the faceetect example and from there. Now he only defines faces. Can someone point me in the direction of detecting the fingertips. Thanks

Place a simple, bright fluorescent sticker on your fingertip with a black dot in the center or something like that. or even wrap a finger with a pattern printed on it, which can be easily distinguished from the camera, and your problem is very solved.

You can use cvFindContours, and then check each path to see if it can be the tip of the finger and go from there.
