Running .NET 3.5 Code In Version 2.0 CLR

I got confused about this - I have .NET 3.5 on my machine and VS2008. All servers run .NET2.0

Can I compile code on my machine and configure .NET3.5 and still work on CLR 2.0?

Is there somewhere mtrix where the .net and CLR versions and their compatibility stand out?

How do I know which CLR I am using?

This is a bit complicated topic, but here are the high points. The two main parts of the 3.5 framework are the set of libraries, in particular System.Core.dll, and the service pack for CLR (2.0SP1).
