JQuery and UIWebView

Question

I'm looking for a way to automatically open the iPod / iPhone keyboard to enter data into a form element when the page loads. I am using jQuery. For some reason, selecting an element in the document.ready () handler and using the focus () event does not cause the keyboard to appear. $ ("# myInput"). click () doesn't work either. Any help?
