Is changing the .app file name sufficient before sending it to Apple?

I tried sending my application, but I was told that the file cannot contain spaces. To fix this, I simply renamed my .app file without spaces, compressed it, and resubmitted it. My question is, is this enough, or do I need to rebuild my application without spaces in the binary name?

Your solution will be sufficient, because Apple should have a zip file without spaces. You do not need to rename the binary name.
