What are the basic principles for performing complex animations in NSWindow? I would like to emulate Quick Look window animations (zoom in / out), but didn't find anything on this.
Animated views are well documented, but nothing was found in NSWindow. If you look closely at the quick view window, you will see that it does not resize the frame, but does indeed start from a small window to the full size view.
So far, I have been thinking about taking a screenshot by placing this screenshot in a borderless content view so that I can pretend the window comes to life. Once the animation is complete, hide this temporary window and show the “real” window.
There should be a more obvious way to accomplish this ...
