Why the error: "[ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found ..."? (works great in a developer environment)

I am encountering problems on my ASP page. This is a login page that checks the user credentials in the database before allowing access to the main page. I created a debugger page to find out what the error information is and this error message:

 Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified. 

This is an error message that I encounter on a web server when I log in to the site. The strangest thing is that when testing the page on my machine (on the desktop) everything works fine (even with the IIS server and MSSQL). I also use the same connection string when deploying and testing the page.

Please help, any suggestions or comments will be very welcome.

The problem is probably related to the ODBC configuration on the Server itself. In other words, the connection string [to the ODBC source] is fine (since it is tested on another server), but refers to a source that is not configured on this particular server.

To fix this problem, open the ODBC Data Source Administrator (usually this is one of the shortcuts in the Administration tools menu) and check if you really have a source (usually it's System DSN) with the same name in the connection string. Such a source is probably opaque or misconfigured.
