Eclipse jumps to function name on Ctrl-S

When I press Ctrl-S to save the Java file in Eclipse, it jumps to the function name. This is very annoying. Does anyone know what to do with this?

Go to window-> Settings-> General-> Keys (you can also find it Keysin the main settings window). Most likely you have added a binding that forces eclipse to jump to the function name when you press ctrl+ s.

Another place to search is Window-> Preferences-> Java-> Code Style-> Clean Up and Window-> Preferences-> Java-> Editor-> Save Actions. It is there that all the actions that occur when saving / clearing a document are determined.

Try a look at the keyboard bindings. I certainly do not have this problem on any of my Eclipse installations. Can you have Ctrl- Sassigned to two different actions?

It was very unpleasant for me.

Having solved it, go to "Settings" → "General" → "Workspace" and uncheck the "Update on access" box.
