Create blank ABAddressBook in iPhone SDK?

Question

Can I create an ABAddressBook that does not read data from my address book. that is, it is empty to begin with, so that I can embed my own contacts extracted from the Internet.

As you know function

ABAddressBookRef ab = ABAddressBookCreate(); 

gives me data from the built-in address book. This is not what I want, but if you know the solution to my problem, please let me know.

I do not think it is possible to have an empty ABAddressBook instance. The documentation only concerns that the ABAddressBook is populated with the iPhone address book.
