Deploying the Django / Python Mailing List

Question

My site requires periodic updates to be sent to all our registered customers.

To keep our lists clear, I want to track all failed deliveries and clear my mailing lists accordingly. I guess I'm not the first and not the last to do this.

Can anyone recommend an existing application / library that I can use to achieve this?
