Redirecting Cell Phone Screen Output to Monitor Screen

Is there a way to redirect the output of a cell phone to a standard screen?

Is this possible on Linux and X-server devices - for example, Maemo? And on Android devices?

At least the N900 has the ability to output video through the headphone / microphone jack, so you can connect your TV (or anything that accepts composite video) if you want. Alternatively, you can install the x11vnc package on your maemo device to achieve this on your computer.
