Replace rows with identifiers in Excel

I have a Microsoft Excel worksheet containing hundreds of rows. The category column on this sheet is filled with the names of categories that are duplicated, since this relationship to categories applies to many to one. I would like to replace these category lines with identifiers from the second sheet, which has a unique list of category names paired with identifiers. Thus, a common connection between them is the name of the category.

How to do it in Microsoft Excel? Is this related to creating a vba macro?
