I need to set up a buildbot host environment that is capable of managing a large number of independent projects , and ideally provides a web interface for users to manage their buildbot instance.
As far as I can tell, at the moment there is no such utility.
I plan to launch my own, but I can really use some tips before embarking on this "fun" reckless task.
Is such a project already available or is there something similar that I could rely on?
Extend buildbot to allow build wizards to manage multiple independent projects or create a new utility to manage multiple instances of build wizards?
Anyone interested in collaborating on such an initiative?
Any other tips that would help me direct the right path were also appreciated.
Some background information:
I am trying to promote the use of buildbot within my community, but one of the biggest hurdles I face is how installation complexity can be especially for the uninitiated. Notabene I work in a research environment where Fortran (and has been decades) is the language of choice and Python is still somewhat novel.
It seems like I'm the only way to promote broad build across many projects in my community - to provide easy-to-use hosting for buildbot.
