How to set up an Amazon VPC gateway without a Cisco / Juniper router?

I would like to configure Amazon VPC Gateway on my server. I do not have a Cisco or Juniper router, but found the OpenSolaris VPC Gateway , presumably referring to this use case (see Their wiki ).

Has anyone tried to create this on Linux?

and

to install iptables or using your own openvpn server
