Storing IMEI from an Android Phone on a US Server

Is it legal to normally store the SHA1 hash of an IMEI user on the server?

I asked the user to get permission before sending IMEI.

Until the operation is reversible, you should be fine. I used to have the same problems writing an application that required a unique identifier from the user that would be stored on the server. After he went through the law, everything was in order, since it was impossible to get the exact user back from the hash.
