Registration form with only email + password

Question

I want a registration form with only email + password. I think that embed email automatically in the username field. So, for the eash user, I will have the following:

username: [e-mail]

password: mypassword

email: [e-mail]

Of course, the email address + password will be used during the login process.

Is this a good solution to have 2 fields with the same value? Or is there a more complicated solution?
