Audio Encryption / Protection

In addition to coding, I spend a lot of time on a music studio. I intend to sell my art both on the Internet and on the CD, but I have one problem ... the protection of the audio file. I don’t want people to illegally distribute or make copies of my music, so I need to somehow protect it. The only way I've seen is to create your own player, and tracks can only be played with this player. Using the "PCID" and private key, the player decrypts the audio and playback. However, this is likely to haunt customers because they would not want to limit the use of my player only. Does anyone have any other ideas?

As the creator of the music (assuming that it is original music), you have copyright to the music and legal remedies if people make copies and profit from it (or result in loss). People who pay for music are not going to bother piracy, and people who are pirating are not going to pay for it. Your chances of beating them using legal means are probably better than having a reliable but widespread protection model.

So, in case this was not obvious - do not worry. Popularity / fame will probably bring you more value than your music.
