Suggest a JMS Provider (for Java Platform)

What is the most trusted open source JMS provider? Any good / bad experience with gearman or Apache ActiveMQ?

I had very good experience with ActiveMQ, because:

  • very stable
  • bright memory,
  • easy to deploy and use
  • good documentation
  • Ready-to-use enterprise integration templates through Apache Camel .

Another nice, though not an ordinary use case, but still nice to understand: it's quite simple to embed ActiveMQ in your own application.
