I am a software developer with experience in C #, C ++. Net along with SQL Server 2005/08, Oracle and mysql. But for some reason I do not get jBASE to work on a computer running Windows XP SP3.
My goal is to set up user accounts, create a database based on JBASE, authenticate and backup / restore multiple tables using a C ++ program. And I don't need to do this with the built-in jBASE backup / restore tools.
I can install jBASe 4.1 aling with all its accessories on my WINXPSP3 machine. I was able to start the jSlimserver and TEMENOUS server along with the licensing server. I was also able to add a license key. But after that I had to do? I have no idea about this.
Documents and online help do not answer the simple question of how to create a database! Google search results from jbase all go to 404 pages!
Can the jBASE guide find the following steps:
- Create the jBASE database.
- Create Users
- Authentication through these users
- Database Connection
- Create tables and insert data.
- Connect via C ++ or C # program to connect to jBASE DB and backup / restore tables.
