I am considering an audio and MIDI application in Max (or Max for Live, really), but I am completely confident in Java, so something like this also seems attractive . Does anyone have any experience with Max? Is this really aimed at people who don’t code, or is a dumb / friendly front end much more efficient than writing direct code, for example, in Java? Also, has anyone written a Java VST plugin and can share their experience with it?
Max is a data stream language. I am more familiar with PD, who is the same author.
