Is there a way to get TextMate to cache files?

I am working on a Rails project to mount AFP in TextMate. Each time TextMate becomes an active window, it rotates around 30 s-1 m, which is VERY frustrating. I tried TextMate when this happens and found some calls +[NSFileAttributes _attributesAtPath:partialReturn:filterResourceFork:error:]. Is there a way to eliminate these rotations?

I am the only one who works with files, so I don’t really like conflicts with file changes (I would not mind if the files were cached locally until I explicitly saved them).
