How to enable kerning in WPF?

I am trying to include kerning in my WPF text block, as in

<TextBlock FontFamily="Garamond" FontSize="120" Typography.Kerning="True">Table</TextBlock>
<TextBlock FontFamily="Garamond" FontSize="120" Typography.Kerning="False">Table</TextBlock>

However, setting Kerning to True or False does not matter. What am I doing wrong?

I think this property only means anything in the context of the stream. Therefore, you need to encapsulate your code in a stream. Even then, I'm not sure if this will work, because according to the documentation you cannot set this property in xaml.

Typography.Kerning defaults to true. You have not changed anything.
